Since 2006, CiaoLapo has been supporting parents who have lost a child during pregnancy or after birth by providing free informational materials, a private self-help forum, online groups, and counseling. It trains staff at birthing centers and neonatal intensive care units and donates “memory boxes” to these units to help preserve memories of the babies. These activities are funded by donations and the 5×1000 tax contribution.
How to Donate
By bank transfer to the Association’s account at Banca Etica:

Pay with PayPal or a credit card by clicking the button below. On the PayPal page, you can select the amount and add a note specifying the purpose of your donation.
The Charity Shop
At the CiaoLapo charity shop, you can make a donation to the Association and, as a thank-you, receive books for adults and children, charity party favors, jewelry, CiaoLapo merchandise, and kits. You can also pay the membership fee through the same website.
Donate in Memory of Someone
You can make a donation in memory of a child, a family member, or a loved one. Please include “in memory of [name]” in the payment description or PayPal note. If you would like the family to be notified of your donation, please email us at info@ciaolapo.it with the name and address where they should be notified.
Donate a Memory Box
The obstetrics, gynecology, and neonatology departments participating in the FOOTPRINT project receive “memory boxes”—boxes in which parents collect memories of their child—free of charge from CiaoLapo. A memory box costs about 45 euros: with this amount, you can send one in your name to one of the hospitals that collaborate with us. Payment description: Memory Box Project. Supporting Research and Education
Donations designated for research or education are transferred each year by the Association to the CiaoLapo ETS Foundation, which is dedicated to scientific research and advanced education in perinatal health.
The 5×1000
On your tax return, sign in the box for third-sector organizations registered in the RUNTS and enter the tax ID number 92070250482. It costs nothing and does not replace the 8×1000. How to use the 5×1000.
A Charitable Bequest
By including a bequest in your will in favor of the CiaoLapo ETS Foundation, you can provide long-term support for research and education on perinatal bereavement. Bequests to third-sector organizations are exempt from estate tax. How to make a bequest.
Tax Benefits and Receipt
CiaoLapo is a third-sector organization registered with the RUNTS: donors can deduct 30% of their donations from their IRPEF, up to 30,000 euros per year, or deduct them from their total income up to a limit of 10%; companies may deduct them within the same limit (Art. 83 of Legislative Decree 117/2017). A traceable payment method is required, such as a bank transfer, credit card, or PayPal: cash donations do not qualify for tax benefits. Full details.
